Whether it's an accidental drop, a power surge, or a mechanical failure after your manufacturer's warranty expires, this plan has you covered.

Available for customers in the United States and Canada, the Xcotton Product Protection Plan gives you peace of mind from day one — and well beyond the standard warranty period.


1. What Does the Xcotton Product Protection Plan Cover?

The Product Protection Plan combines Accidental Damage Coverage and Extended Warranty Coverage into one comprehensive plan. Here's exactly what's included:

✅ Accidental Damage Coverage

Covers unintentional damage that occurs during normal use of your product, including:

  • Drops and falls — damage from accidentally tipping or dropping your e-bike or e-scooter
  • Cracked screens or frames — structural or display damage from impacts
  • Water splash damage — electrical issues caused by unexpected water exposure during normal riding
  • Other accidental physical damage — any unforeseen damage during intended use

✅ Extended Warranty Coverage

After your manufacturer's warranty expires, the Xcotton plan automatically extends the same warranty protection for the remaining duration of your plan. This covers:

  • Electrical or mechanical failures — motor, controller, battery, or wiring issues not caused by misuse
  • Component defects — failures in covered parts due to normal wear under intended use

✅ Power Surge Protection

Covers product malfunctions caused by voltage spikes during charging — a common risk that standard warranties do not address.

✅ Battery Replacement

Includes one-time battery replacement if the battery fails during the coverage period, ensuring your ride stays powered up.

2. Protection Plan Options & Coverage Timeline

GleeRide offers three plan durations through Xcotton. Each plan includes Accidental Damage Coverage from day one. Extended Warranty Coverage activates after your manufacturer's warranty ends.

3. When Does Coverage Begin?

4. What Is NOT Covered?

The following situations are excluded from the Product Protection Plan:

  • Intentional damage or damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Unauthorized modifications, repairs, or part replacements by non-authorized personnel
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect product functionality (e.g., minor paint scratches, normal wear)
  • Theft, loss, or damage during shipping (covered separately under Shipping Protection Insurance)
  • Damage caused by racing, stunts, or commercial use
  • Products purchased from unauthorized resellers
  • Pre-existing conditions or damage that occurred before the plan was purchased
⚠️ Important: The total reimbursement for any claim will not exceed the product's original purchase price. Please retain your order confirmation and proof of purchase.

5. How to Purchase the Product Protection Plan

You can add the Xcotton Product Protection Plan at the following points during your shopping experience on GleeRide:

  • Product Detail Page: Select your preferred plan duration (1, 2, or 3 years) directly on the product page before adding to cart.
  • Shopping Cart: Add protection to eligible products directly from your cart.
  • Checkout Page / Post-order Supplement: You may add coverage at checkout, or supplementally purchase the protection plan within 60 calendar days from your order date.
✅ After purchase: You will receive a confirmation email from Xcotton with the subject line "Xcotton Product Protection Placed Successfully". This email contains your Product Protection ID and a direct link to the claims portal. Please keep this email for your records.

6. How to File a Claim

Filing a claim is simple and can be done entirely online. Choose any of the following methods:

Click the claims link in your Xcotton confirmation email to begin the process directly.

Visit the Xcotton Resolution Center and log in with your email and Product Protection ID.

Claim Filing Steps (Online)

  1. Log in: Enter your email address and Product Protection ID at the Xcotton Resolution Center.
  2. Select the product: Choose the product that needs service from your protected items list.
  3. Choose claim reason: Select either "Electrical or Mechanical Failure" (for extended warranty issues) or "Accidental Damage" (for drops, cracks, water damage, etc.).
  4. Provide supporting documents: Upload photos or videos clearly showing the issue or damage.
  5. Select compensation method: Choose your preferred resolution (replacement, repair, or refund as applicable).
  6. Submit your claim: Review and submit. Xcotton will begin processing your claim immediately.

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

You may cancel your Product Protection Plan under the following conditions:

Within 60 Days of Purchase

  • No claims filed: Full 100% refund of the plan price.
  • Claims filed: Refund = Plan price minus the claim amount already paid.

After 60 Days of Purchase

  • Refund = [(Total coverage days − Days used) ÷ Total coverage days] × Plan price − Paid claims − Administrative fee (maximum $50)

No. The Xcotton Product Protection Plan is an optional add-on available at checkout. Your GleeRide product still comes with the standard 1-year manufacturer warranty regardless.

Q2: Can I purchase the plan after my order is placed?

You are allowed to supplementally buy the protection plan within 60 calendar days starting from your order placement date.

Q3: Does the plan cover shipping damage?

No. Damage during shipping is covered under our separate Shipping Protection Insurance. The Product Protection Plan specifically covers accidental damage during normal use and extended warranty after the manufacturer's warranty expires.

Q4: What countries are covered?

The Xcotton Product Protection Plan is currently available for orders shipped to the United States and Canada.

Q5: How many claims can I file?

You may file multiple claims during your coverage period, subject to the plan's terms. However, the total reimbursement will not exceed the product's original purchase price.

Q6: What happens if my claim is denied?

Q7: Does the plan transfer if I sell or gift the product?
